CLASS UNIFORM AND GEAR REQUIREMENTS

ANY AND ALL ITEMS LISTED BELOW MAY BE PURCHASED THROUGH OUR SCHOOL

New Students:

1. Uniforms are optional for new students (see Beginner Ranks) New students may wear work-out clothing such as jogging pants, sweats, etc., with a tee shirt. No shorts, shoes or tank tops allowed at any time.

2. Sparring Gear not required

Beginner Ranks:

1. Full Uniform: White jacket and pants, rank belt, school tee shirt and patch

2. Full Sparring Gear, after 2nd High White Belt: Head, foot, hand, shin and mouth guards, and also groin protectors for males

3. Sparring Gear Bag (Small and large bags available)

Intermediate Ranks - Green Belt and up:

1. Full Uniform: White jacket and pants, rank belt, school tee shirt and patch

2. Full Sparring Gear: Head, foot, hand, shin, mouth, and groin protectors for males

3. Practice Weapons: Rubber Knife and Foam Club for Self-Defense practice

4. Recommended: Taekwondo Forms Book

5. Recommended: Sparring Gear Bag

Advanced Ranks - Red Belt and up:

1. Full Uniform: Black (or white) jacket and pants, rank belt, school tee shirt and patch

2. Full Sparring Gear: Head, hand, foot, shin and mouth guards, and groin protectors for males

3. Practice Weapons: Rubber Knife; Foam or Rubber Club

4. Recommended: Taekwondo Forms Book

5. Recommended: Sparring Gear Bag or Tournament Gear Bag

Black Belts:

1. Full Uniform: a) Black jacket and pants; b) Black jacket and red-striped black pants; or c) Blue jacket and pants - with a Red or Black school tee shirt and school patch

2. Full Sparring Gear (see Advanced Rank requirements above)

3. Practice Weapons: Rubber Knife; Foam, Rubber or Wood Club; Rubber Gun

4. Recommended: Taekwondo Forms Book and Black Belt Forms Video

5. Recommended: Sparring Gear Bag or Tournament Gear Bag

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

1.      Do not wear long sleeved or regular shirts under your uniform jacket - only school tee shirts or plain white or black tee shirts are acceptable.

2.      Bring your sparring gear and practice weapons (if you have them) to every class

3.      Long hair should be put up in a pony tail or braid during class.

4.      Jewelry should not be worn in class, especially dangling earrings or necklaces as they may cause you injury

5.      Keep your uniforms clean and neat and make sure you are not missing any items.

6.      Keep yourself clean - this is essential when working closely with others in class.

7.      Don't be afraid to use deodorant

8.      Trim nails and toe nails
